Peoria Water Services pays $1 per square foot for residential xeriscape conversions, up to $3,000 per project. The minimum is 250 sq ft. You can also earn a $50 bonus for each native desert tree planted (up to 2 trees per year).

At least 25% plant canopy coverage at maturity, with 2 inches of mulch covering all bare soil. Artificial turf is not allowed in the conversion area.
